Always to allow users to change any information they may have provided

the user's permission.
To take safeguards that information

What Information We Collect from You.
Usage Data
Like almost all Web sites, we keep a log of all requests for pages that
we send to users. These requests identify the kinds of browser that
you are using and a computer host address that you are associated with.
These requests do not necessary identify you personally. In any case,
our policy is never to identify individual users but rather to collect
data so that we can determine which pages get the most frequent use,
how many users in the aggregate come from corporations, what kinds of
browsers people are using, and so forth. We use the Web Trends program
to do this. One result is our list of The Top Twenty definitions that
people look up each week. To reiterate: our policy is never to use log
data to try to identify individual users and their usage.
Newsletter Subscriptions,
Comments, and Add-a-Word Suggestions Currently, if you subscribe to
a newsletter, send in a comment, or suggest a change to the site, we
collect your name and address for the purpose of replying to you and
for gathering aggregated statistics about user demographics. We do not
provide this information to anyone outside of the Bartending Academy
Administration and we share it among team members of the school only
for purposes of reply and compiling demographic information. Online
Questionnaires
Periodically, we conduct
an online survey of users for the purpose of compiling additional demographic
and other information intended to help serve users better. Similarly,
we do not provide this information to anyone outside of Bartending Academy
Administration and we share it among team members of the school only
for purposes of compiling demographic information. Cookies
The programs that we or our
ad representative use to rotate ad banners store a cookie or small file
on each user's hard disk for the sole purpose of determining what ads
to send to the user. These cookies do not gather any information other
than what ads have been previously served. Opt-In E-Mail Lists
Bartending Academy may from
time to time through affiliate partners offer users the ability to voluntarily
sign up to receive e-mail in certain user-selected interest categories.
This information is shared with both the affiliate company and with
other companies who purchase names from them for marketing purposes.
It is our policy that users who elect to sign up for this kind of e-mail
clearly understand what they are signing up for. How to Change Information
Online Questionnaires
You can change information provided in filling out an online questionnaire
by sending us an e-mail note, describing the requested change. We will
file this with the original data. However, we may not change the questionnaire
findings unless we receive changes from a significant number of those
who answered the questionnaire. Cookies
Cookies
You can delete a cookie that is on your hard disk at any time, using
your operating system facilities. You can tell your browser not to accept
cookies or to ask you each time a Web site wants to send you a cookie.
If you do not accept cookies when using bartendingacademy.com, the ads
may not rotate as intended.
Opt-In E-mail Lists
You can unsubscribe to any individual e-mail list that you get added
to as a result of your signing up for opt-in e-mail.
Privacy Policy of Advertisers
We have no control over what use our advertisers make of the information
they get as a result of your clicking on their ad on our site. However,
most if not all of our advertisers have their own Privacy Policies that
you can read if you go to their home page.
Security of Information
All logs of site activity, subscription and registration lists, survey
data (including user data), and any other information about users are
kept private. Access to these directories is under a system administrator's
control. If the contents of these directories are copied or moved to
another location, they will be transmitted in a secure form. Ordinarily,
user data is not printed out. In the event that it is, each copy will
be controlled by number so that copies can be collected when no longer
required and then destroyed
